One Last Dinner at Oenotri: Napa Restaurant Will Close November 14 |
The downtown Southern Italian restaurant prepares to say goodbye after nearly 17 years |

One more dinner, one more pizza, one more evening at a familiar table: Oenotri is preparing to say goodbye to downtown Napa.
The Southern Italian restaurant has announced that its last service will be Saturday, November 14, bringing a run of nearly 17 years to a close.
In its farewell message, the team thanked the guests and staff who made the restaurant part of their lives.
For regulars hoping to return, the closing date leaves a short window to plan a visit.
A kitchen rooted in Southern Italy
Opened in 2010, Oenotri built its identity around handmade food and ingredients grown close to home.
Its story page describes house-made salumi, the Italian cured meats, along with fresh pasta, bread baked daily and olive oil sourced from Napa Valley.
Pizza comes from a wood-burning oven imported from Italy.
The kitchen’s ties to local farms and its own garden helped shape a menu that changed with the available produce.
That is part of what made the restaurant more than a place to order the same favorite dish every time.
The wine list also crossed between Italy and Napa Valley, pairing the restaurant’s Italian roots with the region around it.
For diners who discovered a favorite pasta there, celebrated a birthday or made it a regular stop, the news has a personal side.
A restaurant becomes part of a town through those repeated visits, as much as through what comes out of its kitchen.
Planning a final visit
Oenotri is at 1425 First Street, Napa.
Check its reservation page or call 707-252-1022 for remaining availability and current service details.
The daily menu may change, so confirm rather than counting on a particular dish.
Whether you are returning to a familiar table or visiting for the first time, November 14 marks the end of this chapter on First Street. |

The local garden and farm ingredients are what made the menu feel different every time. We need more places like that.
Does anyone know if they still have reservations open for the final week? I’m guessing tables will go fast.
Nate R.The article says to check their reservation page for what’s still available. I’d look soon.
I hope the people who worked there are able to find good jobs nearby. A restaurant like that takes a great team.
That wood burning oven pizza was so good. Might have to make one last visit just for that.
We celebrated our anniversary there a few times. The staff always made the evening feel special, and I’m sad to see them go.
Nearly 17 years is a good run, but Napa is losing a really special restaurant. Their fresh pasta was always worth the trip.
Oh no, Oenotri has been one of our favorite places for a special dinner. I hope we can get in before November 14.
